Odaios Foods has been awarded a contract by Kettyle Irish Foods worth in excess of €45 million over the next five years.
Odaios foods, established in 2004, and based out of Citywest, Dublin 24, have taken on responsibility for the sales, marketing and distribution of Kettyle Irish Foods in the foodservice and fine retail markets throughout the island of Ireland.
Established in 2004 by Maurice Kettyle, Kettyle Irish Foods is based in Lisnaskea, Co. Fermanagh and is one of the only purpose built dry age facilities of it’s kind in Europe. With a significant capital investment into the business by Linden Foods in 2008, Kettyle has become synonymous throughout Europe with optimum maturation of their beef, lamb, pork and poultry products for the hotel, restaurant, and retail sectors.
Maurice Kettyle said, ‘the new collaboration between ourselves and Odaios Foods allows Kettyle to concentrate on developing the unique taste, consistency and craftsmanship of our meat. Odaios will be able to bring our meats not only to our loyal customers in Dublin & Ulster, but also to the rest of the Island.’
Odaios Foods supplies over 400 restaurants, cafes, hotels, caterers and fine food retailers throughout the island of Ireland with a range of culinary foods including flour, chocolate, breads, pastries, oils, charcuterie and duck. The company delivers to customers throughout Ireland via its fleet of 15 multi-temperature trucks. Odaios have taken on the existing Kettyle Irish Foods sales team and are recruiting additional sales representatives to the team ready for Spring 2012.
Odaios Foods Director of Sales & Marketing, Jason O’Brien said, ‘this collaboration was a perfect fit for the two companies. Our aim is to be the first choice supplier/partner for chefs. Both organisations are driven by passion for food, depth of knowledge and an understanding of chefs’ needs. The new deal allows us to ramp up our service levels to our customers alongside driving efficiency in terms of average order size, fuel consumption, and order frequency. Together we will be launching a whole new range of cutting edge products and culinary services throughout 2012.’
The deal gives Odaios and Kettyle a platform of over 700 regular customers and combined annual sales in excess of €12.5 million. Odaios employs 25 people and has grown on average at 40% over each of the past two years despite the recession.
